Xanadoo Boot Basket For Discovery 3 and 4

Every now and again I come across something on the ‘web that’s nestled between cat videos and half naked women that makes me stop what I’m doing for a moment or two.  Occasionally, if it’s really good I actually pay attention to it, which is what I did when I came across the Xanadoo Boot Basket.

In a way, it reminded me of when I moved into my house, it had an old outhouse attached to it that was around 10ft tall, 6ft wide and around 4ft deep, and empty.  Consequently I packed it full of stuff, from tools, jacks, BBQ’s and so on.  Inevitably two things happened, things got lost at the bottom of the pile, and things fell out when I opened the door.

After spending a morning or so with a piece of paper scribbling designs, I went out to B&Q and built myself a shelving system to better utilise the full height of the outhouse and make everything more accessible, which is pretty much what Stuart has created for the back of his Discovery 4.  Having said that, it's evident that he's put an awful lot more thought and effort into his design, not to mention money, and created something that appears well built and incredibly practical.

As I’ve mention, having caught my attention as good idea, I had a wander around some of the Land Rover Discovery Facebook pages and discovered that not only was it a welcomed product, but those who had already invested in one absolutely loved it!

So, as the Xanadoo Boot Basket is something that I’d probably buy myself if I had a D3 or D4, I thought I’d share it with you lot!
