Charles Viancin Tomato Lid
This is another great product from the Charles Viancin silicone range. It can be used as a food cover instead of cling film, a pan lid or a cover for hot and cold dishes.
It beats cling film hands down for ease of use alone, as it can be used over and over again and it doesn't crinkle up or rip. It just pops on creating a vacuum like suction seal, but then comes off just as easily too. With it being so light, flexible and reusable it's perfect for covering food at barbecues, and on camping trips.
As a pan lid it's fantastic too, and can be used on any size of pan up to 8.5" . The lid is made from BPA FREE silicone so can withstand temperatures ranging from -40º to 428º F. In the Charles Viancin bumph they say it can be used in the oven up to 220º so it should be fine for casserole dishes too, but here at The Mud Life we've yet to try that out.
