INEOS Automotive has officially commenced the production of the Grenadier Quartermaster double cab pickups at its manufacturing facility in Hambach, France. The initial batch of vehicles is now rolling off the production line, marking a significant milestone for the company. European customers can anticipate the commencement of deliveries in December 2023, with shipments to Asia Pacific, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East shortly thereafter. For North American customers, sales of the Quartermaster are slated to kick off in early 2024.

Unveiled at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, the five-seat double cab Quartermaster was developed concurrently with the Grenadier Station Wagon and shares the same production line. While maintaining the Grenadier's renowned off-road capability and dependability, the Quartermaster offers enhanced load-carrying versatility.

The Quartermaster utilises the Station Wagon's full box-section ladder frame chassis, heavy-duty solid beam axles, two-speed transfer case, and up to three locking differentials. Powering the vehicle is a choice of BMW 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol or diesel engines, transmitting power to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF.

As the largest model in the Grenadier lineup, the Quartermaster boasts an extended 3227mm wheelbase, a substantial increase of 305mm compared to the Station Wagon. This elongated chassis design results in a spacious and highly adaptable load bay, capable of accommodating a payload of up to 760kg and effortlessly carrying a standard 1200mm x 800mm Euro pallet.

Looking ahead, INEOS Automotive plans to introduce a chassis cab model in 2024, utilizing the same frame as the Quartermaster pick-up. This variant is specifically tailored for conversion specialists and commercial body builders, expanding the versatility and utility of the Grenadier platform.
