The Musso has already been voted as the “no-nonsense pick-up” by Pick-up & 4x4 pro magazine and “Best Pick-up under £25k” by WhatCar? Magazine for two consecutive years. All commentators have been repeatedly impressed by the Musso’s winning combination of build quality, space, refinement, comfort, excellent warranty and value for money.

Diesel Car's journalist judging panel were unequivocal in their remarks: “There are many things to like about the Musso, going far beyond its bargain basement starting price. For a start, it’s surprisingly plush inside, with comfortable seats and a large eight-inch display taking pride of place in the middle of the dashboard. Taking much of its design from the Rexton SUV forward of the load-bed, the back seats have sufficient room for three passengers. The 2.2-litre engine feels potent enough, there’s selectable four-wheel drive, and it can tow up to 3,500kg in newly launched long-wheelbase Rhino guise. It’s our favourite pick-up truck for the second year running.”

In securing this latest award, Kevin Griffin, managing director of SsangYong Motors UK, said; “We’re delighted to win the “Best Pick-Up” in the DieselCar & EcoCar Magazine’s Car of the Year 2020 Top 50 Awards for two years on the trot. Musso has so much to offer in both its short and long bed variants, it certainly disrupts the pick-up market – it’s a tough, strong, value-for-money 4x4.”

Built on the same architecture as the new Rexton which has already been awarded ‘4x4 of the Year’ for three consecutive years by 4x4 magazine - Musso shares its body-on-frame construction to give an extremely strong vehicle that delivers excellent off-road driving performance and safety from its quad-frame and four-wheel-drive system. It’s an extremely competent multi-purpose truck with SsangYong values to the core - comprehensively equipped, an industry leading 7-year/ 150,000-mile warranty with a value for money package, plus a surprising level of interior refinement and great infotainment.
