Hydro Flask - 16oz Wide Mouth Coffee Flask

Here at the Muddy HQ I've become a bit of fan of the Hydro Flask Coffee Mug, which comes in 3 sizes (12oz, 16oz & 20 oz), and a wide range of funky colours. Recently I got to test the 16oz flask which is the same size as a large in most coffee shops, so perfect for getting your latte without the guilt of more waste going to landfill.
What I've mostly used it for is hot chocolate, usually made on a cold beach or hillside whilst Damian takes shots of various products. In the company blurb it states that 'the TempShield™ double wall vacuum insulation keeps brews hot for up to 6 hours, and cold drinks icy for up to 24'.
I can't testify to the full 6 hours (who takes 6 hours to drink a brew?), but when I tested it I made a hot chocolate on Abergele beach in mid-December, and what was left was still hot 3.5 hours later when I got home to Bolton. Actually I had to keep the drink hole open for a while just to be able to drink it, because it keeps the near boiling temperature with the hole closed.
My only complaint is that when you flip the lid open, the little nub that sits in the hole always has a drop or two of your drink on it, and when you go to drink, those drops end up on your nose. If your nose is numb, due to being stood on the afore mentioned beach in winter, then you may not realise it's there, which makes you look a bit of a numpty as you walk around with dried hot chocolate on your tip. This slight issue can be avoided if you do remember to do a quick lick of the nub before guzzling.
The durable powder coat finish is brilliant; it gives it a slight textured feel, which makes it a lot less slippy to grip than some other well known glossy drinks flasks. Lastly I love the colours that the Hydro Flask range come in, there is a colour to satisfy most (there are 12 colours in the range at the moment, but they vary from year to year, and finding all them can be tricky as not all stockists hold every colour ).
