Muck Boot - Chore Hi

When I announced that I had a pair of Chore Hi Muck boots to test for the ill-fated Land Rover World magazine, at least 1/2 dozen of my ‘on-line’ acquaintances piped up and told me how much they swore by them. ‘Comfortable and dependable’ they said, and not a bad word from any of them.

Just over 2 years later and I have to agree, they’ve been excellent, though I have to confess I haven’t worn them as often as I should, but that doesn’t mean they’ve had an easy life.

The Chore Hi’s have a stretch-fit topline binding that snugs your calf to keep the warmth in and cold out.  This is helped with the 5mm CR flex-foam bootie with four-way stretch nylon making them 100% waterproof, lightweight and very flexible.

They also have an additional achilles reinforcement for added protection and diamond-textured toe and heel reinforcement that is said to resist scuffs and scratches, and for further protection they’re triple reinforced in the toe area and quadruple reinforced in the heel area too.  Not only that, but they’re also comfort rated from sub zero to 29 degrees.

Years later they remain a comfortable and dependable pair of boots that are great for long walks, driving in and general faffing around, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another pair.
